Pushing My Limits: My Running Experience in 2022….

  In this blog I will share my experience of running and related fitness activities that I undertook in 2022. As I stepped in to the year 2022, I was well poised to take my running to the next level. There was a long list of so called running projects in my mind that I wanted to accomplish in this year. Each of these projects had its own uniqueness and purpose so as to keep me interested in it. These endeavours of mine factored my professional and personal commitments towards my organization and family respectively. Multiple Runs in a day . There are some days, mostly Sundays and holidays when there is some extra appetite for running wherein one wants to log an exceptional run mileage however, sometimes due to various reasons one is not able to achieve this in a single outing. It is then when one can run more than once in a day to complete his/her desired mileage. Such runs could be spread over a day as per one’s convenience. RUNNING ON ROOF OF THE WORLD

Running is one of the basic forms of exercise and by virtue of its simplicity, one can run almost anywhere. Running in mountains and high altitudes is thus no exception. In fact, it has its own distinct charm and element of adventure. One can run at high altitudes, however a few things need to be kept in mind before doing so in order to make such runs pleasant, healthy and safe. Owing to my professional commitments, for two years I was based at an area  very close to the Tibetan Plateau at an altitude of over 14000 ft. This presented me the unique opportunity to pursue my passion for running at such a place where at times even mere survival becomes a challenge.                                    Dear All,  I just completed one full year of consistent running, I take this opportunity to share my running experience of past 12 months. Though I am into running long distances since the year 2011, however two years back i.e. 2019, I had to take a forced break from running and other forms of fitness activities due to an important transition in my life. From Sep 2019 till Aug 2020, my daily routine was devoid of any significant physical activity which adversely affected my physical and mental well-being, further manifesting into developing low self-esteem and landing in a state of an almost depression.
